Great to work with this Centre Of Surfing Excellence Surf School based in Croyde.  The owners Will and John have done such an amazing job in building one of the UK's most progressive and globally renowned Surf Schools. A PR's dream.  Yet, what really makes this surf school stand out for me is the way that they have supported community projects that are changing lives for the better every day. These projects include  Wave Wahines, The Wave Project, Adaptive Surfing and The Wave Rangers Project. A heart felt project working with Jackie Tye from the New Life Horse Care Sanctuary to raise awareness for the charity and gain votes for People's Project Lottery Funding.  Working with the horses, the charity offers equine therapy to children with physical or learning challenges.  

 

The Sanctuary was successful in becoming one of the SW Finalists and gained national coverage.

In recent years the Sanctuary has expanded and is also now a centre of Art Therapy, again headed up by the artist and owner, Jackie Tye. Jackie's work has been featured on Turner Prize Winner, Grayson Perry's Art Club FB page.

I'm including Sonly Playstation and Sony Psygnosis here as to this day, they were the corporates where I learnt the foundations of my trade on a global scale.  Working on the PR and marketing collateral of major titles like Wipeout, Destruction Derby and Formula for over twenty EMEA territories was truly a once in a lifetime learning experience.

Highlights included F1 launches at major grand prix locations: E3 Trade Show Organisation in LA and Atlanta; Launch events at The Ministry of Sound and the Dolce & Gabbana Cafe Milan.

It was such a dream to create this website and social media feed for this wonderful lady, Carole Lacey. Carole is a skin health expert and laser therapist based in Kingsbridge. She is literally at the forefront of skin health and we are so lucky to have her in Devon. Carole's Waterside Aesthetics Clinic and websites were launched on the day that lockdown was lifted and her feet haven't touched the ground since.  I now handle all her social media campaigns, PR strategy and media work. What a great experience to be working through lockdown with the The Bay View, Widemouth. Together we totally re-branded the hotel and created their Offshore Gallery, a high-end white space art environment and cultural hub serving North Cornwall.  Awesome.

Grateful to Bude-Stratton Town Council for truly supporting my Bude Earth Festival concept. The two day festival was run in 2019 and included speakers from over fifteen environmental charities and projects. Stall holders from ethical small businesses in the community set up a market place on the green, local musicians and fitness professionals entertained from the bandstand, dancers danced, children played, eco artists showcased their work and environmental authors told their stories. 

​

We also included a Bude Earth Heroes ceremony honouring the wonderful community groups that serve our planet so courageously. 

 

In 2020 the festival was held online and included such prestigious speakers as Satish Kumar.

In 2020 I had the great honour of working on PR and Event opportunities for the Cleaners Seas Group. This inspiring team of Ocean warriors have designed a microfibre filter for washing machines.

 

Really exciting to see how the BBC got behind the project including coverage opportunities with BBC Spotlight and Countryfile.
